Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) is a technology that uses optical character recognition on images to read vehicle registration plates. The ANPR camera series is embedded with LPR algorithms which can automatically detect and capture vehicle licence plates in real time. ANPR recognition algorithms support number plates.
Alerts can be set up with regards to predefined black- or white-list comparisons and appropriate action can then be taken.
With built-in intelligent video analytics, the ANPR network cameras can detect and recognise moving vehicles’ plate numbers up to 120 km/h with a recognition accuracy of more than 95%. These ANPR network cameras could be compliant with and other third-party VMS (video management systems).
